Fidelity Bank is one of the oldest and continually growing independent, local community banks in Central Massachusetts. The Bank is committed to businesses, families and individuals in the communities it serves.
Fidelity Bank’s 9 Leominster (Mass.) Connector location recently embarked on a five year expansion and facility upgrade program which included the recent construction of a 47,000 square foot Corporate Center. Embracing energy efficiency as a key feature of this new building was just one way the Bank continues to support its customers, the local community and the comfort of its employees, all while generating energy savings that have boosted the Bank’s bottom lime.
The energy efficient design of Fidelity’s Leominster Corporate Center has made it the first building in Massachusetts completed under the New Buildings Institute’s Advanced Buildings program. With technical guidance and support from National Grid, Fidelity’s Corporate Center now includes the following energy saving innovations:
- High efficiency T-5 pendant lighting
- Reduced lighting power density
- Demand control ventilation
- Efficient motors
- HVAC efficiency enhancements
- Lighting controls
- High performance glazing and additional wall insulation
- Energy management system
In addition to remarkable reductions in energy use and the associated cost savings, employee moral is now at its highest and work production has increased, due to improved comfort and enhanced facility aesthetics.
The success of Fidelity’s energy efficient Corporate Center has led the Bank to incorporate efficiency throughout its other construction projects, including a new branch in Worcester.
